This larger-than-life lavender blossom is the epitome of that feeling of having just fallen in love and lying awake thinking about it past midnight.
And yes, I scored tickets.
But I digress.
I happened upon an exquisite bunch of silk flowers from the Charles Lubin Company. They’ve been crafting these beauties for over 100 years in New York City, and are of the highest imaginable quality. This one sits atop a cream sinamay base trimmed with lavender dupioni silk, attached to a lavender satin headband and metal comb. The final touch is my stamped metal abbydid tag.
